The Godfather Opening Sequence
The Godfather:
- The opening sequence of The Godfather begins with a fade in from a blank screen to a monologue from a man who is talking to 'The Godfather' begging him to help him.
- The audience quickly learns that this is a crime/mafia film.
- The discussion of the crimes committed and the crimes that are going to be committed set the theme for the rest of the movie.
- The entire opening scene is shot in one room which give the sense that this is a very intense movie.
