Storyboard for the opening sequence

To aide with the planning of the opening sequence, I have hand drawn a storyboard.

The storyboard breaks the entire opening sequence down into twelve shots. There are going to be far more than twelve shots in the actual opening sequence but I have simplified the plan into twelve shots as it helps me to visualise the shot.

  1. All three of the production logos will be shown first.
  2. There will be a series of shots of Scott exiting the house and wide angle shots of him walking towards his car.
  3. There will then be a series of more close up shots of Scott approaching his car and unlocking it.
  4. Montage of him placing his luggage in the boot of the car and then getting in the drivers seat.
  5. It will then cut to Scott driving away from the house as he sets off on his journey.
  6. The screen will then fade to black before fading into the next scene and the second half of this opening sequence.
  7. There will be a series of approximately three drone shots of Scott driving.
  8. Next there will be some footage shot from in front of his car whilst driving (a tracking shot)
  9. Shots from inside the car of Scott driving like an 'over the shoulder' shot and one where the camera is positioned behind the steering wheel so that the audience can see his face whilst driving.
  10. There will then be a few shots of the car driving past the camera
  11. In the penultimate shot, Scott's car will break down and the audience will see him stepping out of his car.
  12. Finally the opening sequence will end with the sudden introduction of the antagonist Samuel Burns.
