Ways in which characters are introduced to the audience

Iron Man:

• Iron man is an action movie which uses the opening sequence purely to introduce Tony Stark, the main protagonist. 

• The opening scene starts with action before jumping to thirty six hours earlier giving the audience a perspective to further understand the action that they have just seen.

• The setting in the second part of the opening sequence is a great way to introduce any character in a movie as it is a presentation about the character to the audience in the movie.           

             

Now You See Me:

• In the opening scene of Now You See Me, each of the four main characters are introduced individually whilst performing magic tricks to audience which is the general theme of the movie throughout.

• The viewers are introduced to each character and learn a small amount about each character and their personalities. 

             


Superbad:

• In the opening scene of Superbad the two main protagonists are instantly introduced. The audience quickly gains an insight into the genre of this movie but more importantly, the interaction between the two actors quickly tells the audience a lot about them and about the friendship that they have.
