Introduction

Brief for my foundation coursework

For my foundation portfolio I will be producing the opening sequence, credits and title credits for an original movie from a genre of my choice.

At the moment, I am unsure what genre of film I want to create so to begin with, I will analyse a number of opening sequences from a range of different genres. Next, I am going to be analysing a number of opening scenes from various different genres. 

Below are two opening sequences from two films that I find particularly interesting.

             

Deadpool's opening scene consists of the main protaginist giving a voice over whilst introducing himself to the audience so that they have an understanding of the movie.

             

In the opening scene of Spectre, the scene is set in an extremely extravagant and dramatic display. The audience watching this movie will already know who James Bond is so he therefore does not need to be introduced in the same way as in Deadpool.
